Inner Exile Reclaimed
2 Kings 15:29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage records that during Pekah’s reign, lands were taken and people were carried captive to Assyria. It presents conquest as a decisive movement of power over territory.
Neville's Inner Vision
See how this passage does not speak merely of a nation in the world, but of your inner state. The Assyrian power Tiglath-pileser and Pekah are pictures of thoughts that claim authority over you. The lands named—Naphtali, Galilee, Abelbethmaachah—are not only places; they are your states of consciousness, habits, and choices you have accepted as real. The captivity of these lands is the moment you consent to a belief that you are not the I AM, that your awareness can be ruled from outside. In truth, the exile reveals the mind’s tendency to forget its own sovereign identity. The remedy is simple: refuse the sense of separation. Assume you are the I AM here and now; imagine the captives returning to their homeland by the power of your inner decree. The recalling of the land is the memory that you are the ruler of your own mind, that Providence flows through you, guiding you to revision and renewal. When you hold the vision and feel it as real, the apparent exile dissolves and an inner liberty takes its rightful place.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, revise the scene in your mind: the lands of your inner Naphtali return to you. Then proclaim I AM here, I reign in my mind, and feel it real.
