Covenant of Inner Alignment

2 Kings 11:17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Kings 11 in context

Scripture Focus

17And Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD's people; between the king also and the people.
2 Kings 11:17

Biblical Context

Jehoiada establishes a covenant binding the LORD, the king, and the people into a shared identity as the LORD’s people. It is a renewal of loyalty and true worship.

Neville's Inner Vision

Jehoiada’s covenant is a map for your inner life. The LORD is the I AM behind every thought; the king is your ruling center of decision; the people are the scattered thoughts, habits, and desires that seek expression. When they covenant to be the LORD’s people, they consent to live under the One Light. The inner covenant rearranges your inner governance: the king does not rule by fear or habit, but by alignment with the One; the people harmonize with that alignment. Obedience becomes fidelity to the I AM, and true worship becomes a daily living from the same center. In your consciousness, this creates a single field where every part of you recognizes its place in God. The result is not mere compliance but ease: a unity in which decisions, impulses, and actions rise from the same source. You are not patching up a divided self; you are revealing one self who knows itself as the LORD’s.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, declare 'I am the LORD’s people' and feel the oneness of king and people with the LORD as your I AM. Then revise any sense of separation, letting every impulse flow from that center as a felt reality.
