2 Kings 10:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
The passage records a royal command to kill the king's sons and send proof of the act to Jezreel.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the scene is not about a city or a crime, but about your own inner government. The king is your awareness; the seventy sons are the many facets you have identified as ruling your life. The letter that arrives again and again is the inner command from the I AM, inviting you to hearken and release what no longer serves the throne. The heads placed in baskets symbolize the letting go of old identities, the dramatic severing of attachment to the past forms you wore as yourself. Jezreel is the inner place where you welcome the reinstitution of your royal order; it is here that true judgment takes place, not as punishment but as the clearing away of appearances that block your throne. When the decree says, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice, it is your solemn agreement with the deeper self to align with the I AM. By obeying, you awaken to a reign of righteousness and justice within, a state that cannot be overturned by mutable circumstances.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine a letter from the I AM commanding you to release one old self. See the old identities as heads in a basket, sent to Jezreel, and feel the inner king taking his place now.
