Guard Your Inner Doctrine
2 John 1:8-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Look to yourselves and guard the fruits of your inner work. Do not invite or bless those who bring a false doctrine, for your full reward depends on remaining faithful to the Christ within.
Neville's Inner Vision
Look to yourselves, for the inquiry is inward and the 'fruits' are the results of my thoughts, feelings, and habitual states. If I depart from the doctrine of Christ—the inner awareness that God dwells within and I am that Presence—then I have no true ground in God, and such a state has no lasting effect. Abiding in the doctrine of Christ is abiding in the consciousness that the Father and the Son are one with me; in that unity I receive the fullness of divine life. The instruction about those who bring not this doctrine is a guard for my inner sanctuary: I do not invite or energize any belief, person, or state that denies this truth, nor do I bless it with attention, for to bless contrary states is to partake in their effects. Thus I keep faith with the inner standard, and outward events align with the superior reality I am already knowing within.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In the next moment, assume the state 'I AM' is the ruler of my life; consciously revise any thought that contradicts the Christ within into a recognition of unity. Feel it real by repeating, 'I and the Father are one,' and bless only what affirm this truth.
