Inner Boundary Of Hospitality

2 John 1:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 John 1 in context

Scripture Focus

10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
2 John 1:10-11

Biblical Context

2 John 1:10-11 warns not to receive or bless anyone who brings a doctrine not aligned with the truth. Blessing them makes you a participant in their deeds.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your house is the state of your consciousness. When a messenger brings a doctrine not anchored in your inner truth, inviting him in or bidding him God speed gives life to his vibration within you. The I AM within you is awareness; it is not the content but the consent that shapes experience. By blessing what does not belong to truth you become a partner in its deeds, feeding the energy of error rather than truth. The verse invites you to discern between the real and the counterfeit and to guard the purity of your inner atmosphere. To live by this is to stay faithful to the truth you hold in the moment. You can revise by declaring in your heart, 'Only that which harmonizes with truth is welcome here.' Practice as if you are already living the truth: close the door to false doctrine in your mind and open it to the living presence of the I AM and its freedom.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the state of the inner host—only truth may enter your consciousness; in a quiet moment, revise any thought or invitation that echoes error by silently affirming, 'I welcome truth alone; this house is held by the I AM.'
