Truth, Love, and Walking
2 John 1:1-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 John 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The elder writes to the elect lady and her children, affirming the enduring truth dwelling in us. He links grace and peace to walking in love by living the commandments.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within 2 John, the elder speaks from the state of consciousness you can inhabit now. The 'elect lady' and her children are not distant persons; they are your inner capacities—truth, love, and the life that flows when you align with them. The truth that dwells in us and shall be with us forever is not an external fact but a present condition of awareness—the I AM you, that cannot be undone by doubt. Grace, mercy, and peace are not rented from an outside source but the atmosphere you breathe when you remember who you are in God and who God is in you. To rejoice that your inner children walk in truth is to rejoice that your inner life is consistent with its own divine command. And the 'new commandment' is not new at all; it is the reminder to love, which arises naturally when you walk in your original premise: I am truth, and love is its living expression. The commandment to walk in it becomes a steady practice of living from that conviction.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are already walking in truth and love toward someone you know. Feel the grace, mercy, and peace flowing through your inner room as you align with that truth.
