Spirit Over Letter
2 Corinthians 3:7-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The old ministry was outward and temporary, written on stones, fading in glory. The new ministry of the Spirit is greater, dwelling within you.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the inner ear, the text speaks of two covenants not as history but as states of consciousness. The ministration of death, engraved on stones, shone with a glorious external light, yet it could not sustain the sight of Moses, for the glory was destined to fade. Now, the question asks: how shall not the ministration of the Spirit be more glorious? The answer for you is inner: you are that Spirit. The glory is not a thing outside you but the vibrancy of awareness that writes upon your heart. When you dwell as I AM—when you feel your own consciousness as the source—you replace the cold stone commandments with a living inner law. Your attention becomes the Spirit’s instrument; your imagination shapes not facts in a book but your inner atmosphere. The old covenant fades as you awaken to the fact that the Spirit is already resident, here and now, in the throne of your own mind. Let your imagination revise every moment: see changes not as coming but as already present, and you will walk in the glory that outshines the letter.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, rest in I AM, and revise the moment by declaring inwardly: 'The Spirit within is my source and law.' Feel the inner light write on my heart as real now.
