Inner Covenant: Humility and Healing

2 Chronicles 7:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 7 in context

Scripture Focus

14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
2 Chronicles 7:14

Biblical Context

The verse describes an inner condition: when a person humbles, prays, seeks God's presence, and turns from wrongdoing, heaven responds. Forgiveness flows and life is healed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of 'my people' as the state you presently inhabit. Humility is not outward compliance but the posture that says I am not the author of separation—the I AM fills all. When you 'pray' you are not petitioning a distant deity; you are turning your attention to the awareness that you are. 'Seek my face' means seek the inner sight that recognizes wholeness and oneness. The 'wicked ways' are habitual thoughts of fear, guilt, or limitation you replay in imagination. By imagining yourself acting from forgiveness, light, and unity, you awaken heaven within—hearing becomes certainty, forgiveness becomes a felt reality, and your land heals as your outer life reflects the new state. Do not chase outward proofs; assume the state and dwell there until it pervades your entire being. The moment you inhabit the feeling of living in intimate connection with the All, you know the healing belongs to you and your life shifts to match that truth.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and declare: I humble myself; I seek the face within; I forgive and am forgiven. Then feel the peace of that state and let it saturate your thoughts for several minutes.
