The Inner Choice of Jerusalem

2 Chronicles 6:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 6 in context

Scripture Focus

5Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:
6But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.
2 Chronicles 6:5-6

Biblical Context

God says He chose Jerusalem for His name and David to rule over Israel; no other city or ruler was chosen.

Neville's Inner Vision

God's words reveal that the outer geography of the land is a symbol for an inner posture. Jerusalem is the inner dwelling where God's Name resides, a fixed consciousness. David is the ruler within your awareness, the stable authority you invite to govern your life. This is not about places or men, but about your inner state being chosen and established. When you accept that the I AM has named Jerusalem in you, you cease pursuing kingdoms outside and align your mind with a single, governing presence. Your life then follows from this inward sovereignty, as the imagined state becomes tangible without external proof. The act of kingdom building is therefore a revision of destiny from within, not a change of circumstance. You are called to be faithful to the inner order that already exists, and the outer effects will follow as the fruit of that conviction.

Practice This Now

Assume that Jerusalem inside you is chosen and that David sits on your inner throne. Dwell in that feeling until it becomes your lived reality.
