Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
These verses plead for God's attentive ear toward the servant's cry and the people's prayers toward the temple place. They request that heaven be open to hear and forgive.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the inner listener in us, this is not a distant synagogue but a declaration of the I AM's own constant attention. The temple is not brick but your state of consciousness, a dwelling you claim with your own awareness. 'Have respect for the prayer' becomes a discipline of focusing your attention with unwavering intention. 'Thine eyes open upon this house day and night' translates as a decision to keep your mind awake to the imagined sanctuary you inhabit, a place where your name is set and your nature is acknowledged. When you address this place, you are addressing your own inner sovereignty; heaven is not afar but within your breathing moment. To hear and forgive is the inner rhythm of alignment: as you persist in the assumption, the inner movements soften, old judgments release, and forgiveness flows through the channels of awareness. Practice becomes a matter of turning from doubt to faith in your own hearing; your inner sanctuary becomes both temple and audience, and your new state of consciousness is born.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and place your attention on your inner temple, declaring, 'I AM hearing my prayers.' Then feel being heard and forgiven as you dwell in this open heaven within.
