Ark Within the I AM

2 Chronicles 5:6-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 5 in context

Scripture Focus

6Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
7And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims:
8For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above.
9And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day.
10There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt.
2 Chronicles 5:6-10

Biblical Context

Solomon and Israel sacrifice before the ark, and the priests bring the ark into its place inside the sanctuary; the cherubim cover the ark, and only the two tablets remain inside.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through Neville’s lens, the ark is your I AM set in the holy of holies of your mind. The crowds and sacrifices point to the turning of attention—consciousness choosing alignment over distraction. When the priests bring the ark to its place, you enact the inner movement of aligning perception with the one law that endures: the Covenant written in your heart. The cherubim spreading their wings over the place represent protection and privacy, a margin within which the true you dwells undisturbed by rumor or fear. The staves’ ends visible from the ark signal that the law’s order is not a display but a living inner principle, accessible to you as you gaze inward. And there, inside, there is nothing but the two tables—the remembered truths Moses brought forth, now made alive in your present awareness. The external history dissolves into a single practice: your awareness reaffirmed as the covenant with the Lord in you. In this moment, God is not distant but the immediate I AM whose presence you inhabit.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the ark within your chest; rest in the I AM, and reaffirm the inner covenant by declaring the Law as your living reality.
