Read 2 Chronicles 35 in context

Scripture Focus

22Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.
2 Chronicles 35:22

Biblical Context

Josiah ignores the divine word spoken through Necho and presses into battle at Megiddo, defying counsel and meeting the consequences.

Neville's Inner Vision

See the scene as a mirror of your own inner sovereignty. The king in you should heed the living word from within, not cling to an outer voice dressed as authority. When Josiah disguises his motive and follows the voice he calls God’s, he steps into Megiddo—an inner battlefield where old desires clash with true guidance. In your life, the outward assault of circumstance often mirrors that clash. The trick is to recognize you are not the body that acts, but the I AM that witnesses and commands. If you identify with the inner ruler, you revise the scene: you do not chase the loud signal of the world, you listen for the inward stillness and respond from it. Your imagination becomes the weapon and the altar. By imagining the word of the inner God guiding you, you dissolve the urge to prove yourself in the outer arena and affirm the reality of your true kingliness here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine you are the I AM within; hear the inner guidance clearly and act from its quiet direction rather than the outward impulse. Revise the scene by mentally saying, 'I align with divine guidance now,' and feel the truth settling in your chest.
