Biblical Context
Manasseh dies and is buried in his own house, and his son Amon takes the throne in his stead.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this verse, Manasseh is a fixed pattern of life—habits, thoughts, and claims of self-importance—that no longer serves. His death is the relinquishment of that state, and his burial in his own house is the acceptance that this pattern has ended within the temple of consciousness. Amon, the son, who now reigns, represents a fresh current of awareness—a new ruling idea, virtue, or authority that you allow to govern your decisions. Neville’s psychology teaches that God is the I AM, the thinker behind every scene; thus the kingdom is the ruler you consent to be in the moment. When you imagine this transition, you are not waiting on fate but inviting a present shift: the old king steps down, the new king takes the throne, and life reflects the shift as you act from a higher sense of self. The inner coronation precedes any outward turn of events; the outer world follows where you have already crowned the inner state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and witness the old king stepping down, buried in the house of your mind. Then crown the new ruler—Amon—in your awareness and feel that reign as already present.
