Biblical Context
Two golden cherubim stand in the most holy place, their wings spread and faces inward, signaling an inner, focused worship. The scene invites you to see the temple as your own consciousness where purity and the I AM presence dwell.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the inner sanctuary exists now. The two cherubim are the paired energies of your consciousness—awareness and reverence—guarding the holy center where God dwells as I AM. The gold overlay is not metal but the radiant consciousness shining through every thought; it shows that your true nature is already pure and complete. The wings, twenty cubits long, symbolize the breadth of your awareness when it is expanded and directed toward the center instead of outward to appearances. One wing reaches to the wall of the house, the other toward the wing of the companion cherub; in your mind this reads as every part of you (emotion, memory, desire) held in harmony by the two aspects of consciousness, connected and restrained by divine order. Their faces are inward, a reminder that true worship is inward alignment with the I AM presence. When you dwell in that posture—seeing God as the I AM within—you illuminate the entire space and reveal holiness and integrity in every action. Imagination is not escape but the instrument by which you enter that sanctuary now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the inner sanctuary is already filled with the I AM. Imagine two golden cherubim in your heart, their wings spread, faces inward, guarding your holy center; feel the presence now and rest in it.
