Mercy’s Hidden Kingdom Within
2 Chronicles 28:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 2 Chronicles 28 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Plain sense: The passage shows mercy in action—captives and spoil are transformed into clothing, food, and care for the naked and weak, then brought to safety.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner vision, the battlefield becomes the mind and the armed men are the faculties of will waking to mercy. The captives and the spoil are fears, lacks, and wounded pride within you; the act of clothing, arraying, feeding, and anointing is your imagination applying life to those inner forms. The named men rising up symbolize precise inner qualities—compassion, mercy, and charity—taking responsibility for the vulnerable. By carrying the feeble on asses to Jericho, you transport these parts to a sanctuary of rest and renewal in the heart. When they return to Samaria, your central I AM consciousness is restored in dignity and service. This is the law: imagination creates reality when you dwell in the feeling that mercy has clothed and nourished your inner brethren. Your present experience of generosity becomes the outer world’s sign that your inner state is awake.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Assume the inner posture of the one who clothes, feeds, and carries the weak. Close your eyes and mentally rehearse feeding and clothing the naked within you, then guiding them to Jericho and back to the center of your consciousness, feeling it real now.
