Inner Prophetic Voice

2 Chronicles 24:20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 2 Chronicles 24 in context

Scripture Focus

20And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.
2 Chronicles 24:20

Biblical Context

The Spirit rests on Zechariah to warn that when the LORD's commandments are transgressed, prosperity stalls. Forsaking the LORD entails a withdrawal of divine support from the whole self.

Neville's Inner Vision

The Spirit of God coming upon Zechariah is the inner Spirit of awareness arising in you when you refuse to bargain with the inner law. Zechariah, standing above the people, represents a state of consciousness that rises above ordinary thought and hears the commandment as your own I AM speaking. The commandments are not external rules alone but inner principles you commit to as your nature. When you transgress them by telling yourself prosperity belongs to others, you cut off the vitality of your inner life and your imagination mirrors that lack. Forsaking the LORD is the moment you turn away from your I AM, and you feel a withdrawal of life because your inner relationship with the divine source is suspended. Yet when you align, the Spirit rests on you and your world reorients: imagination becomes the instrument of life and prosperity follows fidelity to the inner commandments. The prophetic voice within becomes your daily guide, speaking truth to your mind and turning possible futures into present experience.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling of the Spirit resting on you by aligning with your inner commandments. Revise any sense of separation from prosperity and accept it as yours now.
