Inner Covenant Rebellion Within
2 Chronicles 21:8-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Edomites revolt against Judah, and Libnah also breaks away because Jehoram forsook the LORD. The passage shows that turning away from covenant loyalty invites both inner and outward upheaval.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the Edomites and Libnah as inner states that rebel when I am not abiding in the I AM. The king Jehoram represents my conscious self ruling from personal will, yet his night assault shows how the subconscious returns to old patterns when I neglect the covenant with God within. When I forsake the LORD God of my fathers—the remembered awareness of divine source—these inner kingdoms turn away from me and revolt. But the moment I reimagine my state as one with the LORD enthroned, the revolts dissolve. I do not fight Edom with external weapons; I revise the belief that I am separate, I assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled—imagine, here and now, that my inner authority is intact and the covenant is kept. Libnah’s revolt is simply another voice in my mind demanding independence; I acknowledge it, let it speak, and return to the center. The present moment is the place where the inner king reigns; by dwelling there and feeling as the I AM, the revolts are seen for what they are—shadows dissolving in the light of consciousness.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: In a quiet moment, declare 'I AM the LORD of this consciousness' and revise any rebellious thought by affirming 'I am loyal to the covenant within.' Visualize Edom and Libnah bowing to your centered I AM and feel that reality now.
