2 Chronicles 20:27

Biblical Context

The verse describes a victorious return to Jerusalem with joy because the Lord has caused them to rejoice over their enemies.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this story, the returning procession is a drama of your own consciousness. Judah and Jerusalem stand for the two aspects of awareness and its settled peace; Jehoshaphat at the forefront represents your I AM, the living center that leads the march. The joy is not after the victory but the natural condition of awareness when you realize that the Lord has already made you rejoice over your enemies. Your so-called foes are disturbances of mind, fear, doubt, and limitation, seen as enemies only in absence of inner realization. When you assume the feeling of victory now, you align with Providence and let it guide your steps back to the city of inner harmony. The rejoicing changes inner movements from struggle to thanksgiving; the outward result then follows as a natural expression of your restored kingdom. This is redemption in the present: you awaken to the truth that you are the I AM, and your enemies dissolve into dreamlike appearances under the light of your consciousness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and claim I am the joy of returning to inner Jerusalem now; picture yourself at the head of the procession, walking with certainty that the I AM has already resolved your inner enemies.
