Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jehu rebukes Jehoshaphat for helping the ungodly and loving those who hate the LORD, signaling a divine correction; yet he notes good in Jehoshaphat for removing the groves and seeking God, and Jehoshaphat goes out to bring the people back to the LORD.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this brief hinge of scripture, the rebuke is not a far-off punishment but a mirror held before your own consciousness. Jehoshaphat’s moment reveals how a mind can entertain loyalties that oppose the LORD and thereby stir a subtle 'wrath' in the life of the I AM. Yet the passage also records a seed of good in him: he has removed the groves and prepared his heart to seek God. This is the inner invitation: discard the idols of habit, turn toward the Source within, and let the consciousness of the I AM govern your choices. When you revise your state in this way, you no longer act alone; you go out through the life you touch and, like Jehoshaphat, lead others back toward the LORD God of your inner fathers. The outer changes—your conduct, your leadership, your relationships—flow from the inner alignment you now hold. So you do not try to change the world; you change your state, and the world you call 'outside' becomes the radiant expression of your inside awakening.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and declare, 'I am the one who has removed the groves from my heart and prepared it to seek God.' Then imagine walking through your life from Beersheba to Ephraim, gathering every part of yourself back to the LORD within.
