Scripture Focus

2And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
3Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
4But when they in their trouble did turn unto the LORD God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
2 Chronicles 15:2-4

Biblical Context

The speaker tells Asa and Judah that God is with those who seek Him, and that Israel had been without the true God until they turned to Him in trouble.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville, this is the drama of consciousness. The Lord is not a distant sovereign but the I AM—the awareness you are. The line, 'The LORD is with you, while ye be with him,' means His nearness arises where your attention dwells. If you seek Him in the quiet, you are found by Him; if you forsake Him, you contract the sense of presence. The long season without the true God, and without a teaching priest and law, signifies a mind forgetful of its own inner order—the inner law of belief, imagination, and feeling. Yet when they turned to the LORD in trouble and sought Him, He was found by them because they returned their focus to the Source. Your inner covenant is kept by daily attention to the I AM. The presence you seek is the very state you assume and feel as real. When you revise doubt and dwell in that assurance, you experience Him as now, here, within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: In a moment of quiet, assume 'The LORD is with me now' and feel that presence as your own awareness. If doubt arises, revise to 'I am found of God here and now' and savor the felt shift.
