Inner I AM: Lifting the Yoke
2 Chronicles 10:10-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The young king promises a heavier yoke and harsher punishment than his father, signaling an escalation of domination; this reveals how inner pride can manifest as external control.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within every human mind, the figures of king, youth, and yoke symbolize states of consciousness. The boastful vow that a 'little finger' can be thicker than the father's loins is a decree of heightened control, a belief that power over others will come through tightening burdens. In Neville's terms, the outer scene is a projection of an inner disposition: the sense of self-importance that demands submission from life. To transform it, you must dissolve the identified ruler and assume the true sovereignty of the I AM—the awareness that you are the authority of your inner kingdom. The 'father' represents a prior, more limited consciousness; the 'son' embodies a newer claim of domination. The remedy is not to enforce more coercion but to revise the state into lightness and compassionate leadership. By affirming and feeling as real that you are the I AM, the immense power of consciousness lifts the yoke you once believed existed outside you. Outer conditions follow the inner revision, revealing that control is a product of belief, not of circumstance.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and assert: I am the I AM, sovereign over my inner state. I revise the decree now: the yoke is lifted and my leadership is wise and gentle.
