The Inner Mediator

1 Timothy 2:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Timothy 2 in context

Scripture Focus

5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1 Timothy 2:5-6

Biblical Context

There is one God and one mediator between God and men—the man Jesus Christ. He gave himself as a ransom for all to be testified in due time.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of God as the one I AM within you, the sole power and seat of life. The 'one God' is the single consciousness you inhabit; the 'one mediator' is your decision to stand in the state that joins heaven and earth here and now. Christ Jesus is the ideal self you are becoming—the man or woman who forgives, commands, and declares. When he 'gave himself a ransom for all,' the meaning is that you release fear and guilt by consenting to a higher assumption; you pay the price of limitation by resting in the truth that you are already reconciled to life. 'To be testified in due time' is the inner timing: as you hold the vision, the outer circumstances begin to harmonize with the new state at the moment your feeling catches up with the idea. Do not beg for proof from without; testifying occurs as your inner conviction grows steady and radiant, and the world reflects it. You are the mediator, you are the message, and you are freed into your rightful being.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM as your only reality; feel it real that you are already reconciled and free. Then silently affirm, 'There is one mediator within me, and I am that mediator now.'
