Biblical Context
1 Timothy 1:9-10 states that the law is not for the righteous but for those who are disobedient and contrary to sound doctrine. It lists various behaviours as examples of inner patterns needing alignment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Knowing this, the law is not a tyrant outside you but the inner standard by which you measure your life. The righteous man is the state of consciousness that already aligns with I AM, and so the law has nothing to indict there. The lawless, ungodly, profane, murderers of self or others, liars and perjurers, represent inner patterns you have believed in until now. In Neville terms, you are not correcting others but waking up to your own capacity to imagine and to choose. When you assume that you are the I AM, and accept sound doctrine as your living truth, the old images soften; fear and separation release their grip. Your imagination becomes the instrument by which you rewrite those inner statutes. The law becomes your friendly tutor, pointing you toward the consciousness that creates what you experience, and the moment you dwell in that consciousness, you walk beyond the list into freedom.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine a gentle inner law as a wise tutor within you, rewriting the list into your present habits of love. Say I am the I AM, and feel the peace that comes when you dwell in that righteous consciousness.
