Light of Your Inner Day

1 Thessalonians 5:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Thessalonians 5 in context

Scripture Focus

4But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-5

Biblical Context

The verses declare you are not in darkness; you belong to the day as children of light, so darkness cannot overtake you.

Neville's Inner Vision

Beloved, these verses are not a warning about a future squeeze but a revelation of your current state. You are not in darkness; you are the light, the day itself, and nothing can overtake you unless you yield to a belief that you are asleep. The 'thief' is time-born illusion; the day cannot catch you when your I AM presence is awake. See that the night is merely a story you tell yourself about your own consciousness. The moment you awaken, you return to the light that you already are. If fear or confusion arises, don’t argue with it; revise your inner image to align with the truth: you are the light that dispels shadows. Persist in the feeling of being illumined, and the outer scene will follow the inner brightness. Your task is to dwell in this awareness now, and trust that the day you seek is the day you now inhabit.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise your self-image to 'I am the light in which the day shines.' Then feel the brightness expanding from your chest to every corner of the room until darkness loses its grip.
