Inner Kings and Abundance
1 Samuel 8:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verses describe a king who will seize land, vineyards, oliveyards, and the tenth of the harvest for his officers. This presents a literal warning about external authority and loss of wealth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the decree not as political history but as a picture of your inner state. The fields, vineyards, and oliveyards are your faculties of imagination and the seed you plant daily in the mine of mind. The tenth given to officers symbolizes the belief that part of your life must be surrendered to circumstances, to fear, or to a power outside your own I AM. When you are ruled by such a belief, you feel scarcity and a changing economy of luck. The Gospel of your present faith says the King you fear is only an internal pattern—an attachment to lack. You can rewrite the scene by assuming a different kingdom: you are the I AM, the sovereign ruler of your inner land, and your wealth is the realization already stored in your inner consciousness. In that state, no external decree can diminish your supply, and your harvest remains yours to enjoy. The transition occurs when you refuse the old decree and dwell in the feeling that your abundance is established in you now.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and imagine standing in your inner garden where every field and oliveyard is alive with possibility. Revise the thought: The I AM is your true ruler; no external decree can take from you what you are here to realize. Feel it real by sensing the richness already present and letting gratitude anchor the new state.
