1 Samuel 19:7-8

Biblical Context

Jonathan brings David to Saul, renewing his presence before the king. David then goes out to fight the Philistines and defeats them, driving the foe away.

Neville's Inner Vision

David is the inner king in you, the I AM already anointed. Jonathan is the loyal faculty that brings the higher self into the arena of your mind. When Jonathan brings David to Saul, he brings the inner king before the outer ego and renews the covenant of your two natures. The war that follows is not against people but against fear and doubt, the Philistines your mind conjures when you forget who you are. David goes forth and defeats them; the great slaughter and their flight symbolize the fall of old stories that made power small. The line as in times past recalls the enduring covenant between the inner king and the ego, now operating in harmony. Restored service and justice come when you feel the I AM presence guiding action. Faith and trust align, and your world bends to your inward decision. Practice: assume you are in the presence of your higher self, feel it real, and let that impression govern your thoughts and deeds as you meet your inner Philistines.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine Jonathan presenting David to Saul, the inner king entering the ego's throne room. Feel the I AM presence guiding your next action and see fears retreat as you step into sovereignty.
