Inner Kingship and Rebellion
1 Samuel 15:23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Rebellion and stubbornness are portrayed as spiritual forms of witchcraft and idolatry. Rejecting the inner Word costs the kingly authority of your own consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
In this passage we are shown a picture not of a distant history but of your own inner autonomous state. Rebellion is not merely outward disobedience; it is the mind practicing witchcraft by opposing the Word that speaks within your I AM. Stubbornness is the worship of a self image that resists guidance, an idol of control that neglects the living Word. When you reject the inner Word, you abdicate your inner kingship; you are dethroned from governing your life by divine direction. Yet the remedy is simple: awaken to the Word within and yield to its governance in every moment. The king is a state of consciousness seated in I AM awareness, ruled by listening, revision, and action aligned with that inner directive rather than fear or pride. Practice now by affirming your inward sovereignty and letting the Word lead your steps, until you feel the throne of your mind restored to its rightful place.
Practice This Now
Assume you are the king of your inner kingdom; sit on the throne of I AM and listen to the Word within. Revise stubborn thought by softly affirming I yield to the Word within me and feel that guide your life.
