Casting Your Care Into God
1 Peter 5:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Peter 5 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse invites you to release all worries into God, trusting that He cares for you.
Neville's Inner Vision
Cast this care not outwardly toward a distant person but inward to the I AM that you are. The weight of worry is the texture of your present inner life; when you claim the awareness that you are, you can place that texture into God's keeping within. See the I AM as your steady, loving presence that cares for you, a state of consciousness that does not tire. Your care does not vanish by effort but through a new assumption: right now, the I AM carries you; your thoughts and feelings arise within that awareness. As you assume the feeling of being cared for, revise the sensation of burden into ease, and the mental scene of fear softens. Creation responds to your inner state; casting is the act of shifting your posture of mind. Keep insisting that you are known and cherished by the I AM, and watch how circumstances align with that truth, as if the inner revelation rewrites the outer.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit quietly, breathe, and as you exhale say, 'I cast all my care upon the I AM.' Then feel the burden lift as you rest in the sense of being cared for by the I AM.
