Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The cherubim cover the ark with their wings and the ends of the staves extend into the holy place, visible there but not outside the sanctuary.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the ark as the I AM within you, the center of awareness. The cherubim with their two wings are the guardrails of your consciousness—binding, sheltering, and directing your attention toward the holy of holies. When they cover the ark and its staves, you are reminded that your power to know is held within a sacred boundary. The ends of the staves that reach into the holy place, and are visible there, are the outward expressions of your inward state—your thoughts, feelings, and actions that are already framed by the inner presence, yet not exposed to the world until you bring them forth. The visible ends in the inner sanctuary symbolize the moment you acknowledge your inner design and the covenant of loyalty between your sense of self and the I AM. Your true worship is to dwell in this sanctuary of awareness, letting the boundary of the cherubim guide you away from externals toward the living presence within. As you stand in this inner temple, you can revise any belief about separation by affirming: I am that I AM; all ends of my life are seen by God within me.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes, assume you are the Ark in your mind, feeling the cherubim's wings of protection; then revise any limiting belief by declaring, 'The ends of my life are visible within the holy place, and I am one with the I AM.'
