Biblical Context
Solomon made ten brass bases with defined dimensions and borders between ledges. The borders bore images of lions, oxen, and cherubim, and each base carried four wheels with molten undersetters beneath the laver.
Neville's Inner Vision
These bases are not mere metal but inner stations of consciousness. The ten bases correspond to ten facets of the I AM where attention belief feeling choice discipline intention gratitude stillness vision and action are held upright. The four by four base with a three cubit height speaks of stable practical awareness that can stand under any circumstance. The borders between ledges are the boundaries you draw in your thoughts; within these borders the mind sorts and assigns meaning. On the borders dwell lions, oxen and cherubim symbols of inner power: the lion of courage, the ox of endurance, the cherubim of divine insight guarding your focus. The base above the ledges represents elevated thought resting on a solid foundation; the wheels indicate the movement of life through thought; the undersetters beneath the laver signify hidden purification the work of mind clearing misperception. Taken together these bases declare holiness: a temple within where presence can dwell when you align every base with the I AM and keep the inner borders clean.
Practice This Now
Assume the I AM now governs these ten bases and feel them steady beneath unwavering awareness. If a border seems stiff revise it as a doorway through which presence flows, and imagine the wheels turning freely as you move by faith.
