Inner Crown: 1 Kings 3:13
1 Kings 3:13 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Kings 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Solomon is promised riches and honor by God, more than he asked for, establishing him above other kings for his lifetime.
Neville's Inner Vision
Solomon’s wealth and honor are not given as separate prizes from without, but as the visible fruit of a living inner state. The line says, 'I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour,' and the trial is seen: what you ask for outwardly answers the measure of your inner consciousness. When you dwell in the I AM—the indivisible awareness that you are of one piece with Providence—your mind is ruled by wisdom, discernment, and the sense of rightful worth. The riches, the honor, are the natural expressions of a kingly self that governs thought with love and certainty. The promise declares that the inner kingdom is secured by your true nature, not by chance, not by the whim of another. Providence flows to the one who recognizes that wealth and esteem are states of consciousness; they arrive as you permit your inner state to be congruent with the reality you desire. Therefore imagine and feel as if you already stand crowned with wisdom and abundance, and your outer days will reflect that inward kingship.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume, 'I am the I AM, endowed with riches and honor.' Feel it real for a few minutes; revise any sense of lack with that inner kingly awareness, then carry the feeling into your day.
