The Inner King Revealed
1 Kings 22:32-33 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The pursuers mistake Jehoshaphat for the king of Israel and turn away when they realize the error; the episode hints at relief that follows true self-recognition.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the inner theater of your life, Jehoshaphat stands for the true king within you—the sense of authority you identify with in a given scene. The captains of the chariots are the thoughts that rush at you with the claim that you are a defined role or victim in a drama. They cry, 'Surely it is the king of Israel,' and so you defend that image. But when the awareness reveals, 'it is not the king of Israel,' the attack dissolves and the pursuing energy turns away. The Presence of God is the unchanging I AM behind every appearance, the quiet awareness that does not waver as forms rise and fall. Providence appears as guidance that reveals non-identity with any transient role; you and the world are one in consciousness, and fear loses its hold the moment you rest in the I AM rather than in the story of separation. The kingdom of God is thus an inner alignment—recognition that your true authority is the living awareness that animates all scenes.
Practice This Now
For 3–5 minutes, assume the inner king role inside you; silently declare 'I AM THE KING' and feel the pursuing thoughts recede as you rest in the unconditional awareness that you are the I AM.
