Inner Kingship in Asa's End
1 Kings 15:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Kings 15 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Asa’s deeds and the cities he built are noted, but in his old age he suffers a disease in his feet. He dies and his son Jehoshaphat begins to reign.
Neville's Inner Vision
Read as Neville would, the record is not about a king in history, but a state of consciousness. Asa’s mighty deeds and the cities he built are the results of believed possibilities in you; yet in old age, your mind may stiffen, the feet of intention growing diseased when you refuse to revise. The 'book of the chronicles' is the inner memory you keep in your I AM; when you awaken to a new state, that record shifts. Asa dies and is buried—your old self returns to the inner chamber, while Jehoshaphat, the son, reigns in his stead, representing a fresh I AM ruling your present experience. So long as you cling to the past, you may feel diseased in movement; when you revise, you realize that the kingdom was always within, waiting to reign through your present assumption. The outer is the visible symptom of inner belief; the inner vision, properly held, will birth a new outward order. You are the consciousness that decides which king sits on the throne of your life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and declare, I am the I AM, the ruler of my life. See Jehoshaphat seated on that throne in this moment, bringing forth effortless movement and clear decisions.
