Inner Ruler Emerges Within
1 Kings 11:27-28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Kings 11 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jeroboam, a mighty man of valour, is elevated by Solomon to oversee the house of Joseph. Solomon builds Millo and repairs the breaches of the city of David.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that the rising figure Jeroboam is described as a mighty man of valour, and Solomon, the wise governor within, sets him over the charge of the house of Joseph. The city spoken of is your mind; Millo and the breaches are the protective walls you raise and the places you mend in awareness. This is not a tale of outward politics but a revelation of inner governance. When a vibrant impulse or talent arises in you, your inner Solomon recognizes its value and assigns it to the proper department of your inner government. The breaches are gaps in self-identity and fear that you repair by assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled and declaring unity with God. By such inner acts you bolster the city from within, sealing rifts with faith, imagination, and the I AM now. The Kingdom of God is thus present as order, clarity, and purpose within you, not a distant reign but the reigning I AM expressing through your thoughts, feelings, and choices. Your work is to keep this inner structure intact by continual revision and faithful feeling.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are the ruler of your inner house. See Millo rising around your thoughts and the breaches becoming mere memories as you affirm I AM, the presence of God within.
