The Inner Throne Awakens

Biblical Context
David designates Solomon as king to rule Israel and Judah. Benaiah affirms Amen and prays that the Lord be with Solomon, and that his throne be greater than David's.
Neville's Inner Vision
Imagine the scene as an inner coronation in your own mind. The king is not a distant antiquity, but your state of consciousness—the ruling posture of attention you assume in every moment. The word 'throne' stands for the seat of your awareness, the place from which you govern your life. When the king says Solomon will sit on his throne in my stead, he is declaring that a new inner ruler will assume control in your inner kingdom, and that you have appointed this ruler over every part of your life. Benaiah's Amen is your subconscious assent, a deep, affirmative alignment with this transformation. And the blessing that the Lord be with Solomon and make his throne greater than David's is your inner practice: you want your present state of consciousness to transcend its former limitations, to expand its rule into all Israel and Judah—the faculties and experiences of your life. This is not external power; it is the revelation that you are the I AM, and your inner king will be supported by the Divine Presence as you imagine it.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I AM the Lord God of my life; I sit on the throne of my mind now. Let my inner ruler govern my days, and feel the throne expand its rule with loving authority.
