Inner Crown of Kingship

1 Kings 1:29-30 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Kings 1 in context

Scripture Focus

29And the king sware, and said, As the LORD liveth, that hath redeemed my soul out of all distress,
30Even as I sware unto thee by the LORD God of Israel, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne in my stead; even so will I certainly do this day.
1 Kings 1:29-30

Biblical Context

David's oath in 1 Kings 1:29-30 declares Solomon will reign after him, affirming a seamless line of royal authority, grounded in the LORD's blessing. In Neville's view, this mirrors the inner decree of your I AM in consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the king swears by the LORD whom he has known as the rescuer of his distress. The soul is delivered from every fear as the I AM identifies with the throne of dominion within. The oath does not bind a future event but confirms a present alignment: the consciousness that gives life to the outer scene has already decreed that Solomon—your inner ruling principle—shall reign after the old order. The LORD God of Israel is the one awareness you call upon; when you affirm that the king will sit upon the throne in your stead, you are merely recognizing that your awareness has a crowned ruler and a line of succession established in mind. The phrase even so will I certainly do this day is the lever of creation: once the decision is taken in your imagination, the inner machinery continues to work toward it, here and now. In Neville's psychology, God is I AM, not a distant person, and the sware is a seal on your present I AM now ruling over every distress. By consenting to this inner decree, you release the past and step into the realized kingdom within.

Practice This Now

Place yourself on the throne of your mind and feel the deliverance as real. Repeat inwardly: I am delivered from distress, I reign in this moment.
