Inner Decree of the King
1 Kings 1:28-30 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Kings 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
David calls Bathsheba and declares that Solomon will reign after him. He swears by the Lord that Solomon shall sit on his throne in his stead.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that the scene is not about a man named Solomon alone, but about the kingly state you awaken within your own consciousness. David’s oath is the moment your inner I AM affirms a fixed purpose: Solomon, your wisdom, shall reign in you and sit upon the throne of your life. The outer throne of history is but the mirror of an inner decree. When you hear the vow—'As the LORD liveth'—hear the unwavering fidelity of your own awareness to the soul’s ruling principle. The Bathsheba who stands before the king becomes your own listening mind, the agency by which you appoint the ruler of your inner kingdom. Covenant loyalty is not obedience to old memory but fidelity to a decision you make now: the reign of wisdom, order, and peace. This is the Kingdom of God, not afar off, but within your present moment, where your assumption is the seed that grows into form. Stay with the feeling of that decree until it moves from imagination into perception; your life will align with the kingship you have declared.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume the kingly state within. Say, 'I am the ruler of my inner realm now,' and feel the throne of wisdom take its seat in your consciousness.
