Inner Triune Witness

1 John 5:6-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 John 5 in context

Scripture Focus

6This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
7For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
1 John 5:6-8

Biblical Context

John states that Jesus came by water and blood, and the Spirit bears witness because the Spirit is truth; heaven and earth each bear three witnesses that are in agreement—Father, Word, and Holy Ghost in heaven; Spirit, water, and blood on earth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Note that the water, the blood, and the Spirit are not three separate facts to argue about, but three currents of consciousness affirming the same reality. The water represents the cleansing power of awareness that washes away guilt; the blood signifies the sacrifice of the old self, relinquishing the sense of separation; the Spirit is the inward witness that declares truth. When these three move in harmony, heaven and earth bear witness and are one. In your inner life, the Father is your timeless I AM, the Word is your imagining, the Spirit is the felt confirmation that what you have imagined is true. The universal triune becomes personal when you assume the state you seek and let the feeling of it real flood your senses. Do not chase external signs; let the inner testimony be enough, and you will see all things harmonize in one in your experience.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, enter the living state of being the Father, the Word, and the Spirit as one; feel the I AM witness and declare, 'It is done' until it resonates as your current reality.
