Overcome the World Within

1 John 5:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 John 5 in context

Scripture Focus

4For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1 John 5:4

Biblical Context

Those born of God overcome the world. The victory comes by faith, a steadfast inner conviction.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you is the birthright to overcome the world, because you are born of God, an awakening of the I AM. The world does not force your fate; your inner state does. Faith is the living assurance that the end is present now, not someday. When you truly feel this, the 'world' cannot shake you, for you are no longer bound to its illusions but anchored in the reality of your own consciousness. Imagine the ending in detail, as if it were finished: health, harmony, provision, or reconciliation—then feel it real in your chest, as the I AM would feel it. Do this often, and the outer scene will rearrange to mirror your inner certainty. You are not chasing victory; you are declaring your possibility and keeping it alive by attention and feeling.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, revise a single scene where the issue is already resolved, and dwell in the feeling of that victory for a minute. Do this daily, revising as needed until it feels natural.
