Inner Judgment, Faithful Now

1 Corinthians 7:25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 7 in context

Scripture Focus

25Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
1 Corinthians 7:25

Biblical Context

Paul says there is no Lord-given command about virgins, yet he offers his own judgment from mercy to encourage faithfulness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this brief verse, you are reminded that the divine order does not descend as a distant rule, but arises from your own I AM, the merciful awareness that already loves you into faithfulness. Paul speaks from an inner mercy delivered to him, not from law's obligation, and he makes a personal judgment, an invitation to trust the present inner state rather than seek some future command. The 'virgin' here can be read as a symbol of untarnished receptivity, a mind free from command-driven fear, in which mercy becomes the ground of action. When you interpret this as Neville would, you realize that every direction you pursue is not given by another, but arises from your awareness that you are the mercy by which you are faithful. Your imagination is the instrument of reality: to act now as though mercy has already crowned you with faithful keeping, and then you see events align with that inner state. The verse does not bind you to external dictates, but liberates you into the joyous discipline of the I AM, faithfully choosing from within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you have already obtained mercy within. Feel yourself faithful now, letting inner assurance guide every thought and decision.
