The I Am Gift Within

1 Corinthians 4:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 4 in context

Scripture Focus

7For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
1 Corinthians 4:7

Biblical Context

Paul asks who makes one differ from another and what you have that you did not receive. The point is that all blessings come as grace, not by personal merit.

Neville's Inner Vision

Believe me, the I AM within is the source of every difference you think exists. You are not divided from another by any true power; distinctions are only appearances born of a mind that forgot its oneness with God. When you behold a gift, talent, or favor and say, 'I earned this,' you deny the grace that already supplied it. The truth is you received what you now praise as yours because the I AM, the sole cause, dwells within your consciousness and grants expression through you. Therefore there is no boasting; to boast is to misplace your faith from the inner I AM to the fragile self. If you would manifest more, acknowledge that nothing you have comes from you alone, and trust Providence to multiply what consciousness approves. Practice from the end: live as one who already possesses every gift in the I AM. In that self-possession, you align with grace, dissolve perceived barriers, and invite further blessings through humility and serene expectancy.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and say, 'I did not receive this by my hand; it was given by the I AM within.' Then feel the sensation of receiving as if your life already embodies the blessing.
