Inner Humility Gifted by I AM
1 Corinthians 4:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Corinthians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul shows that boasting about differences is folly, for every gift comes from God. He invites you to see distinctions as reminders to rely on the Source rather than the self.
Neville's Inner Vision
Paul invites us to see that the divisions we call 'gifts' and 'differences' are but a figure for our inner life. In Neville’s terms, the self that boasts is an illusion, a state of consciousness that forgets it is the I AM receiving all. The true you is awareness, the one that receives every talent, every favor, and every distinction as coming from the Source, not from personal merit. When you feel you differ from another by what you have, you are still believing in separation; when you recognize that you have nothing that was not given, you stand in wisdom. So revise your sense of self: there is no proud doer, only the I AM experiencing itself. Let humility be your discipline, not as self-denial but as alignment with the inner law that all glory belongs to the One Life. By that recognition you will discern wisely, and your obedience will be faithful to the truth that you are, and always were, the I AM.
Practice This Now
Assume: I am the receiver of all gifts now; there is no separate me. Feel it real until it settles as your dominant state.
