Inner Stewardship of 1 Corinthians 4
1 Corinthians 4:1-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Corinthians 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul emphasizes faithful stewardship of God's mysteries, humility over judgment, and that all gifts come from the Lord, not from personal merit.
Neville's Inner Vision
Let us view Paul’s words as poetry of the inner life. The ministers of Christ are not a class of men but currents of consciousness through which the divine mysteries pass into your world. To be faithful, then, is to remain steady in this inner function, regardless of outer judgment. And when you say, 'I know nothing by myself,' you are not admitting ignorance but acknowledging that all light comes from the Lord within you. The Lord is the judge, not you or your neighbors; let the inner light decide the time and reveal the hidden purposes of your heart. The moment you compare yourself with another, you prove that you have forgotten the truth: you are already the expression of what you have received. There is no 'difference' you created; every gift is borrowed from the One I AM. If you truly received it, you do not glory in it as a separate you, but offer it back as service. Awake to this, and every imagined status dissolves into quiet confidence: you stand as the faithful steward of God’s mysteries within.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the role of the faithful steward in your own life. Declare, 'I am the minister of God’s mysteries, entrusted with truth,' and feel the truth settling in your chest until you know it as the I AM within you.
