1 Corinthians 4:1-2

Biblical Context

The verses invite you to view leaders as ministers of Christ and stewards of God's mysteries. Faithfulness is the essential requirement for anyone entrusted with that stewardship.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the scripture, the ministers of Christ are not distant figures but states of awareness in me. To account of us as such is to acknowledge that every thought and perception is a trust placed in my consciousness by the I AM. The mysteries of God are not hidden in ancient vaults; they are the unseen motions of my imagination, my inner meanings becoming reality as I dwell in a certain mood. To be faithful, then, is not an outward credential but a steady fidelity to the inner law of possibility: I keep faith with my inner revelations, revise my beliefs about myself until my outer world reflects a trustworthy keeper of these truths. When doubt arises, I reaffirm that I am the one entrusted with divine secrets, and I treat my mental soil as sacred; I do not bargain with it, I honor it. My daily life, my choices, my inner conversations—these are the faithful accounting of a steward serving God within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and affirm, 'I am the faithful steward of the mysteries of God.' Become aware of an inner shift; revise any limiting thought until your sense of self feels entrusted with divine truths.
