Biblical Context
Paul says he laid the foundation and warns others how to build on it; the true foundation is Jesus Christ, and what you build—gold, silver, precious stones, or wood, hay, stubble—reveals your inner state.
Neville's Inner Vision
Remember, the foundation is not a thing you lay in time but a state of consciousness you accept as real. Grace has laid it, and you awaken to it as the I AM. Your job is not to labor in the outer world but to protect the inner blueprint. When you build upon this foundation, choose gold, silver, and precious stones—the noble feelings of faith, gratitude, and clear discernment—rather than wood, hay, and stubble—the transient fears, judgments, and lack-minded thoughts. The world you see is the echo of the inner stonework. If you find a crack of doubt, revision is at hand: affirm that you are the consciousness which lays the base, and that every desire is already manifested in your inner plan. This is not magic against law but alignment with the one foundation. Imaginative activity is the hammer: you imagine what you are becoming, and your life follows. Build wisely, for how you build reveals what you truly believe about yourself.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and declare, 'I am the foundation; grace has laid me.' Revise a current lack by imagining the scene as already complete, built with gold.
