One Table Within

1 Corinthians 11:20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 11 in context

Scripture Focus

20When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.
1 Corinthians 11:20

Biblical Context

Paul says that coming together in one place does not automatically constitute eating the Lord’s Supper. The emphasis is on inner unity rather than the external ritual.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your 'coming together' is a symbol of the state of consciousness you inhabit. The feast is not the bread and cup handed around; it is the recognition that you are the I AM, the living awareness that hosts every scene. If you feel separation or scandals or factions at a gathering, you are only revealing a split within your own mind. To reinterpret this passage, assume the inner unity beforehand, revise any sense of lack or exclusion, and feel-it-real that the entire assembly is one in God and one in you. The external ceremony will reflect that inner communion when you live from the truth that you are, in essence, the Lord’s Supper—an ongoing feast of awareness. Imagination creates reality; you can construct the conditions that correspond to your desired unity by a steady act of inner conviction. So, observe your thoughts and choose the feeling of oneness, then watch the outer gathering harmonize with that inner state.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already at the feast of oneness. Revise any sense of separation in your mind and feel the I AM nourishing the entire gathering.
