Read 1 Corinthians 10 in context

Scripture Focus

3And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1 Corinthians 10:3-4

Biblical Context

The text says the people ate the same spiritual meat and drank the same spiritual drink, drawing from a Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

Neville's Inner Vision

Ask yourself: what I affirm now, I become. This passage teaches that the manna and the water are not commodities of a distant God but states of your own consciousness. The Israelites drank from the Rock that followed them, and that Rock is Christ—the I AM of your heart. When you grasp that the Rock is within, you stop chasing nourishment and begin to feel-it-real that you are sustained by the divine Presence here and now. The 'same spiritual meat' and the 'same spiritual drink' are your present ideas, your invincible atmosphere of grace and favor. Faith is trust in the immediacy of this Inner Rock; redemption is the recalling of your awareness to its rightful Source. In practice, revise any sense of lack by assuming: I am fed, protected, and sustained by Christ within me, now.

Practice This Now

Practice: sit quietly, assume the feeling I am fed by Christ within me, and hold that sense for a few minutes, then carry it into your day.
