Biblical Context
The passage says that God calls not many who are worldly wise or noble, but uses the weak and despised to confound the strong, so that no one may boast before God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that your calling is not a matter of worldly rank but of inner consciousness. God has chosen the foolish and weak to confound the wise; within your mind, the very 'weakness' you resist is the instrument of grace. When you accept that the I AM animates you, you no longer seek honor from the world but let inner awareness move you. The outer wise, mighty, noble may not stand in the door of this knowing, for no flesh should glory in His presence. Your worth is not a degree or achievement but the divine life that animates you, which can turn apparent lack into the stage on which grace shines. Hence humility is not weakness but the throne of power, and discernment comes as you keep faith with the inner self that is always chosen. This is your invitation: let the inward call redefine your identity, and your outward life will follow the transformation of perception.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and declare, 'I am called by the I AM; my strength rests in weakness, not in outward status.' Spend 5–10 minutes imagining that you are the 'base things' God uses, and feel yourself already functioning from that inner power; notice how your choices begin to shift.
