Bethshean and its towns, Taanach and its towns, Megiddo and its towns, Dor and its towns symbolize the habitual thoughts, memories, and concerns that hold your attention in place. They are not prisons but stations along the road of consciousness; you pass through them as you move to a deeper sense of being. In these dwelt the children of Joseph the son of Israel: Joseph, the dreamer whose life is guided by the I AM, lives in these inner towns by virtue of your belief that you are the ancestor of a living, waking reality. If you want a change of life, you do not chase external rearrangements; you revise your inner map, decide you dwell in a chosen inner town, and feel that reality now. Your imagination then re-embeds itself, and the outward life follows the inward occupation.
