Inner Lineage of Becoming
1 Chronicles 3:19-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Chronicles 3 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
It records the names of Pedaiah's and Zerubbabel's descendants, a simple genealogical list. It invites us to see lineage as an inner map rather than mere history.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this list, you are invited to notice no distant antiquity but your own inner state. Pedaiah's line becomes the authority you acknowledge here and now; Zerubbabel marks the seed of your coming fulfillment, and his sons—Meshullam, Hananiah, Shelomith—are the inner faculties around your goal: practical judgment, hopeful imagination, and receptive balance. The next names—Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, Jushabhesed—form a fivefold council within, a ready arrangement of will, faith, memory, courage, and mercy, prepared to govern your days. Shelomith, their sister, signals feminine intuition and harmony within the masculine order, reminding you that unity in consciousness is the source of order in life. Providence, in Neville's sense, is your I AM arranging itself, moment by moment, to reflect the reality you persist in imagining. When you breathe this inward genealogy, you discover that the world you see is but an outward story of your inner agreements. Naming these inner people and keeping faith with them quietly aligns your outer conditions with your deepest I AM.
Practice This Now
Assume the state you seek already exists within you: name Zerubbabel as your desired achievement and invite the five inner faculties to govern your day. Sit for a minute and feel the I AM inwardly real and in charge.
